Football Opener Moved To August 28 On FSN

Baylor's season-opening football game vs. Wake Forest has been moved to Thursday, August 28 and will be telecast live nationally on FSN, the network announced today. Kickoff for the game will be 7 p.m. CDT from Floyd Casey Stadium. More [+]

Baseball Preview: Bears at Texas Tech

Baylor concludes its regular season this weekend, traveling to Lubbock, Texas, for a three-game Big 12 Conference series at Texas Tech. The Bears and the Red Raiders meet Friday at 6:05 p.m. CDT, Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. All Baylor baseball games are broadcast live on Waco's 1660 ESPN Radio. Brett Reagan

 

Brette Reagan went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Baylor's opening round game at the Big 12 Tournament on May 9. Reagan's home run in the sixth inning cut the Lady Bear deficit to one, then in the seventh, she came to the plate with two outs and blasted a two-run home run to put the game into extra innings. Reagan was named to the Big 12 All-Tournament team and was also named to the All-Big 12 first-team.

Jordan Rux

Freshman Jordan Rux posted two doubles wins and a singles victory en route to helping the Bears advance to the NCAA Tennis Championships round of 16 for the ninth time in school history. In addition, he was two games away from clinching another singles win when play was halted.

The Kerrville, Texas, native extended his team-best singles win streak to 15 matches with his win against Texas A&M. He is 30-11 overall in singles, 21-5 in dual match play and has posted a 24-12 doubles record.
