What attracted you to golf in the first place? I grew up on a ranch in Colorado and I eventually got sick of dealing with cattle so I began to play golf in the afternoons.

How has your game improved while you have been at Baylor? My mental game has improved here more than my physical. All these years of playing against other college athletes at tournaments and seeing these others guys play has given me the confidence to believe in myself in the tournament and in practice.

What was your favorite memory spent with the golf team? It was going to Scotland last fall with the team. There were 6 of us there and we had two days to see the area before the tournament. We wanted to play at St. Andrews and it is such a popular course we had to get there at 3 a.m. and waited in line so we could tee off at 6 a.m. That was crazy!

You got married last summer. How has that changed your life as a student athlete? I now have more of a time commitment to my wife, Hannah, but as a senior I know I have to commit myself to the team as well. Time management like this has made me more mature and more responsible.

What are your post college golf goals? I would like to play all the time but I know I have to support my wife. I might have to get a job on the side. But I would love to go on tour and possibly begin coaching.
