IRVING, Texas - Kelsey Lang (Texas) and Dekeiya Cohen (Baylor) were selected for Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball weekly awards, as chosen by a media panel. Both were recognized for the first time.
Phillips 66 Big 12 Player of the Week

Kelsey Lang averaged 19 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting .750 (18-of-24) from the field in No. 6/9 Texas' wins over UT-Pan American and No. 4/5 Tennessee. The win over Tennessee was UT's second over a top 5 program and kept its record unblemished at 5-0. Lang posted a career-high 20 points with seven rebounds and a block in 27 minutes against UTPA. She then recorded a game-high 18 points with six rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal against the Lady Vols. The sophomore center leads Texas in scoring (15.2), minutes (31.4) and field goal percentage (.632), and has reached double-figure points in all five outings.
Phillips 66 Big 12 Freshman of the Week
Dekeiya Cohen, Baylor, F, 6-2, Charleston, S.C.
Dekeiya Cohen came off the bench in all three games of the Baylor-hosted Basketball Travelers Classic and averaged a team-leading 16 points and .732 field goal percentage (14-of-22). She also contributed 6.3 rebounds a game while adding six assists, four steals and three blocks. Cohen tallied 12 points against Utah State, a team-leading 18 vs. previously unbeaten Stetson and 18 against Marist in the finale. On the season, Cohen is averaging 13.5 points an outing while hauling down 6.0 rebounds and shooting .645 from the floor.
