Robin Goodman is in his second season as the volunteer assistant coach for the Baylor men's tennis team. He assists the director of tennis Matt Knoll and assistant coach Dominik Mueller with all day-to-day operations.
Last season, Goodman assisted Knoll and Mueller in leading the team back to the NCAA Championship semifinals for the fifth time in program history and the first since 2007. With Goodman's guidance, the Bears ended the year ranked No. 3 in the nation, earning its highest final ranking since being No. 2 at the end of 2005 season. During 2015, Baylor was 25-6 and won the Big 12 regular season crown.
Before joining the Baylor staff, Goodman spent four seasons in Des Moines, Iowa, as a member of the Drake men's tennis program. He racked up 111 career singles wins. He was a two-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection and three-time All-Missouri Valley Player of the Week his senior year. Goodman was a two-time first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete award winner and finished with the fifth most career victories in program history.
Goodman graduated in May of 2014 from Drake University with a degree in business management. He is from Cambridge, England.
