NORMAN, Okla. - The Baylor Bears lost their second Big XII conference game of the year, 76-43 to the Oklahoma Sooners in Norman. Baylor falls to 9-4 on the season and 0-2 in league action, while the Sooners move to 14-1 overall and 2-0 in the Big XII.
Baylor got off to a slow start offensively, watching as the Sooners built an 13-1 lead. Oklahoma was hot from three-point range, making four of their first five field goals from long distance and connecting on eight before the end of the first half. The Bears had no offensive answer as they put up their lowest first half point total of the season with an 43-13 deficit at intermission.
The Bears bounded back in the second half, but were unable to put together a lengthy enough run to provide them with any offensive momentum. Baylor ended the game shooting 2-of-15 from three point range and grabbing 28 rebounds to Oklahoma's 44. Senior forward Jamie Kendrick led the green and gold with 15 points, shooting 9-12 from the free throw line. Junior forward Terry Black scored six points and grabbed five rebounds.
