WACO, Texas (AP) - Ricky Williams can still run in Texas Tech's pass-happy offense. He can catch the ball, too.
Williams ran for 153 yards and a career-high four touchdowns on 19 carries, and had a game-high nine receptions for 46 yards, as the Red Raiders beat Baylor 63-19 Saturday.
The Bears (2-5, 0-5 Big 12) have lost 26 straight Big 12 games.
Texas Tech (4-3, 2-3 Big 12) led 14-0 after Williams capped the first two drives with TD runs of 2 and 37 yards. He had 101 rushing yards and his third touchdown by halftime, when Tech led 49-6.
It was the first 100-yard rushing game for Williams since the final game of 1998, when he was the nation's fourth-leading rusher as a sophomore. He suffered a season-ending knee injury in the '99 opener and struggled last year to adapt to new coach Mike Leach's offensive style.
Tech scored on its first four possessions, building a 28-0 lead before Baylor even got a first down early in the second quarter. After the first two TDs by Williams, Kliff Kingsbury threw a 33-yard TD pass to Carlos Francis and Williams added a 5-yard score.
Williams finished his day with a 2-yard TD run with 4:37 left in the third quarter that made it 56-13.
Kingsbury completed 27 of 44 passes for 245 yards and two TDs as the Red Raiders rolled up 518 total yards and their most points ever in a Big 12 game.
Baylor didn't score until their final play of the first half when Josh Zachry, the third quarterback used, threw a 40-yard TD pass to Reggie Newhouse, who made a diving catch between two defenders. The duo connected for a 14-yard TD in the fourth quarter.
Tech's defense even outscored Baylor in the first half with two touchdowns.
Ryan Aycock's 19-yard interception return of Baylor starter Greg Cicero's pass midway through the second quarter gave the Red Raiders a 42-0 lead. Paul McClendon later returned a fumble 21 yards after a botched punt snap for his fourth defensive TD this season.
Baylor is 3-42 in the Big 12 since the league started in 1996, and the last win was 31-24 over Kansas on Oct. 10, 1998. The Bears have lost all 21 conference games under third-year coach Kevin Steele.
