TUCSON, Ariz. - A one-out, bottom-of-the-seventh Jennifer Stump home run put an end to No. 23 Baylor's school-record 11-game winning streak and gave No. 5 Oklahoma a 2-1 victory over the Lady Bears here Friday in first-day action of the Hillenbrand Invitational hosted by the University of Arizona. In Baylor's second contest of the day, No. 2 Arizona pounded 11 hits, including three home runs, to defeat BU 8-0 in five innings.

With the losses, the Lady Bears fall to 19-6 on the season. Five of Baylor's six losses have come against teams currently in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25. Oklahoma is now 15-2, Arizona entered a later game Friday against Indiana State at 23-0.

Stump's home run erased the heroics of Baylor sophomore Nan Wilkins. With two outs and the bases empty in the top of the seventh, Wilkins, a pinch hitter, slapped a 1-0 pitch over the leftfield wall for her first career home. That tied the score 1-1. Oklahoma had taken an early lead with a run on second-inning Stump sacrifice fly to right.

In the second game, Arizona proved its No. 2 ranking. Jennie Finch (8-0) held the Lady Bears to one hit, a second-inning Koral King single to right, she also notched eight strike outs. Jill Smith (1-1) took the loss for Baylor, allowing eight runs, six earned, on 11 hits with one walk and two strike outs.

Arizona scored in each of the five innings with two in the first, one in the second, one in the third, three in the fourth and one in the fifth. Allison Andrade had two home runs on the game, while Lauren Bauer had an inside-the-park homer against Baylor's shift defense. The Wildcats' three home runs upped their season team total to 56 through 23 games.

Baylor will return to action here Saturday with a 10 a.m. CST game against Indiana State and a noon contest with Creighton. The Lady Bears will conclude their weekend in Arizona Sunday with a 10 a.m. meeting with Western Michigan.
