NORMAN, Okla. - Defending national champion Oklahoma rolled to a 7-1 win over the Baylor softball team on Sunday as the Sooners completed a weekend sweep of the Lady Bears.

Baylor (34-20, 5-9) continued to have offensive trouble against the Oklahoma (27-7, 12-2) hurlers. The Lady Bears managed just one run in two games, and that lone run came in the sixth inning of the second game.

Baylor starter Joni Miller (24-14) gave up just one hit in the first two innings before Oklahoma's offense opened up the game with a six-run third inning. Four hits, two walks and a hit batsman gave the Sooners all the runs they would need.

OU scored once more in the fifth for a 7-0 lead. Baylor's run came in the sixth. After two away, Stacey Hundley, Naomi Fitzgerald and Ryan Stukel bunched together three hits, with Stukel driving in Hundley from second for her team-leading 35th RBI. The run ended a 25-inning scoreless streak by OU pitcher Jennifer Stewart (26-3).

Baylor returns home for a doubleheader Wednesday against UT-Arlington. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Getterman Stadium.
