WACO, Texas - The 17th-ranked Baylor baseball team belted out four home runs, but it was not enough as Texas Tech defeated the Bears 6-5 in ten innings Sunday afternoon at Baylor Ballpark.

Baylor jumped on Tech starter Matt Harbin early, scoring three runs in the first. Trevor Mote was hit by the pitcher and Chris Durbin smacked a two-run homer to left field. Mike Huggins followed with a home run to left center.
Texas Tech battled back with a huge second inning. The Red Raiders racked up four runs, sparked by Brent Fossum's bases-loaded double.

After relieving Zane Carlson (1-4), Paul Thorp walked in the winning run in the tenth.
Tech closer Blake McGinley (3-3) picked up the win after tossing one-plus hitless innings and walking just two batters.
