WACO, Texas -- Baylor saw a second half lead erased by a late 17-2 TCU run and the Bears fell 72-64 to the Horned Frogs at the Ferrell Center.
The Bears suffered their first loss of the season, despite a double-double by Lawrence Roberts. Roberts, still recovering from a stress fracture in his leg, totaled 14 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks.
Baylor led 53-50 before TCU's run, which put the Frogs up 67-55 with 3:52 remaining.
The Bears closed to 68-64 with a little under two minutes left, but Junior Blount and Jamal Brown connected on four straight free throws in the final seconds.
TCU led 35-30 at the half, but Baylor opened the second period with an 11-2 run and regained the lead 41-37.
Baylor was outrebounded by TCU by a 53-29 margin.
Kenny Taylor added 11 points, and John Lucas scored 10.
The loss broke Baylor's 23-game non-conference winning streak at the Ferrell Center.
