Final Stats | Notes

BAYLOR HEAD COACH Guy Morriss

On Baylor's performance:
"We had opportunity after opportunity and just didn't make the plays when they were there. We felt like going in we had a good plan, but we just got blocked."

"Texas is pretty good, there's no question about that. We lost our composure, but thats what good football teams do to you. We knew they were good, but I didn't think we would get dominated that bad on both sides of the ball."

"I don't buy the saying that everyone is allowed one bad game. We got beat by a good football team. We have two big football games coming up, and we need to see if we can accomplish our goal of getting to a bowl."

OnTerrence Parks:
"We went in thinking we wanted to give him a full game to see what he could do. Obviously, he didn't have much help behind him, but we're not quite ready to judge his performance. We'll look at the tapes and make a decision."

BAYLOR CB C.J. Wilson

On Baylor's performance:
"We still have confidence. It's just a disappointing loss. You have to give them credit for capitalizing on all the opportunities we gave them."

"We have to bounce back and get ready for the Missouri game. We have a two game season now and we have to win both of them. We have to bounce back or it will be just another Baylor season.

BAYLOR DL Marcus Foreman

On Baylor's performance:
"I can't take anything away from Texas. They are a good team and I wouldn't be surprised if they eneded up in the national championship game."

BAYLOR RB Brandon Whitaker

On Baylor's performance:
"We're alright. We still have to go out and play. We approached this game like we do for every other game. We came out and played hard. Unfourtunatly, we didn't make any plays on offense."

TEXAS HEAD COACH MACK BROWN

On UT's overall performance:
"The best thing about today was that we played a more complete game. We've been playing halves or three quarters but today we came out and dominated for three quarters and then our other guys took over and we were still able to make plays."

On Baylor's Performance:
"This is the best team Baylor has had since I've been here and they have a chance to win six and go to a bowl. Guy Morriss has done a tremendous job for this program and this was a big game for them."

On atmosphere of the game:
"Baylor started well but we started with a different attitude. Our fans are great here and today was by far the best game we've had from our fans. It definitely makes a difference for our players and it has to be hard for the Baylor players. This was like a home game for us."

On sending a message to the voters:
"We didn't want the attitude of people taking about our defense like there was last week. We definitely sent a message and the message was that we are a top two team in the nation."

On play of Vince Young:
"Vince is as good as anyone in the country and he does it every week. I think his biggest disadvantage is he makes it look so easy. To have over 600 yards, two weeks in a row is pretty special."

TEXASQUARTERBACK VINCE YOUNG

On Texas' performance:
"We came out and played our game. We had a good week in practice and we came out and did our job. The offensive line did a great job opening up some holes. They do a great job of protecting me and opening up a lot of different receivers. We started off slow on offense but we pulled it together."

On the level of play:
"Perfect is hard to get but we did a great job today. We came out to win the game and we expected to win. We had a great game today, the offense, defense and special teams all played great. We're going to keep playing hard. We hope we made a statement to the bowl voters today."
