THE RUNDOWN
- After finishing the Big 12 meet fifth on the women's side and seventh on the men's, Baylor will have a total of 31 entries in the NCAA €ˆWest Preliminary Rounds. €ˆThe women's team has 18 entries, while men have 13. Comparatively, BU had 26 in 2010.
- Freshman Tiffani McReynolds claimed the lone Big 12 title for the Bears at the conference championships, winning the 100-meter hurdles. McReynolds defeated the three previous Big 12 champions of the event in the finals.
- At the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, Baylor claimed a total of 25 all-conference honors, including three runner-up and one third-place finish in the men's and women's relays. Baylor is ranked in the West's top five in each of the four relays.
- Baylor owns 18 marks that rank in the top 12 on the NCAA €ˆWest Region declared competitors list. Tiffani McReynolds is ranked No. 1 in the 100m hurdles (12.74). Baylor has six more marks in the top three in the region.
- Gradually moving up the NCAA team rankings this season, Baylor's women are ranked ninth and the men are ranked 12th. From the Big 12, nine women's teams and seven men's teams are among the national top 25.
- BU has seen three school records fall and another tied this outdoor season. Tiffani McReynolds (100mH - 12.74), Skylar White (Shot Put - 56-3.75) and Nick Lyons (Javelin 257-2) own records, while Woodrow Randall (100m - 10.13) tied one.
- Baylor has won a total of 29 individual titles this outdoor season after McReynolds claimed a Big 12 title. The Bears won a season-high eight at their own Michael Johnson, and added four more prestigious Drake Relays titles.
- Earlier this season, Tiffani McReynolds added to her growing list of accomplishments when she was named the Big 12 Track Athlete of the Week. That week, McReynolds won the Texas Relays 100-meter hurdles with an NCAA-leading time of 12.74.
- Among Big 12 teams in the national rankings, Baylor's women are the third highest, checking in at No. 9 behind only Texas A&M and Oklahoma. The men are ranked the fifth highest at No. 12, behind TAMU, Texas Tech, Texas and Nebraska.
- This spring, head coach Todd Harbour added three signees to an already strong recruiting class. The class now totals 17, including 10 women and seven men.
