TEXAS TECH SERIES HISTORY
• Baylor heads to Arlington, Texas, to face Texas Tech in the 2018 TFBI Shootout at AT&T Stadium. The meeting is the final at the neutral site venue before a hiatus with matchups returning to Waco (2019) and Lubbock (2020).
• Texas Tech leads the all-time series 38-37-1 and has won the last two contests. Baylor was victorious in five straight from 2011-15. In a neutral location, BU holds a 5-4 advantage.
• Last season,
Charlie Brewer set program records for completions and attempts hitting 43-of-63 passes for 415 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-24 loss marred by four turnovers.
RUN GAME ROAD TO VICTORY
• In Baylor's five victories in 2018 the Bears are averaging 216.2 rushing yards per game and 5.6 yards per carry. In losses, that total drops to just 110.5 yards per game including three games with less than 90 yards.
• The Bears have rushed for 231.6 yards per game in their three Big 12 home wins and are rushing for 210.0 yards per game overall at McLane Stadium in 2018.
• BU ranks sixth in the Big 12 in rushing offense with an average of 158.6 ypg in 11 games in 2018. Four different Baylor players have at least three rushing touchdowns (Brewer, Lovett, Hurd, Hasty).
HISTORIC VICTORY AGAINST OSU
• Trailing 24-14 with 12 seconds remaining in the third quarter, QB
Charlie Brewer entered the game with OSU for the first time and proceeded to lead the offense on three touchdown drives and a thrilling 35-31 win.
• It was the first win for Baylor when trailing entering 4th quarter since Oct. 1, 2016 at Iowa State (trailed 42-28 entering 4th, won 45-42).
• The victory was only the second time in McLane Stadium history the Bears came from behind to win in 4th quarter after BU's 61-58 victory over TCU on October 11, 2014.
EPIC EFFORT BY JOHNSTON VS. COWBOYS

Clay Johnston had a career day in Baylor's thrilling victory over Oklahoma State. The junior linebacker from Abilene had a career-best 17 total tackles, including 14 solo stops.
• Johnson's 14 solo tackles are the second-most by a FBS player in 2018 behind FIU's Sage Lewis (18).
• The junior tied
Taylor Young (17, 2x) for the most in a game since Bryce Hager had 18 vs. K-State in 2013.
• Johnston is averaging 12.0 tackles over his last five games and has 83 on the season (6th, Big 12). He has 55 solo stops on the year, which is fourth-best in the conference. He has four double-digit tackle games.
• The third-year linebacker has 163 tackles, 17.5 TFL and 2.0 sacks in 31 career games (19 starts).
• For his efforts, Johnston was recognized as Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 5.
• Johnston has 83 tackles in 2018 after entering his junior season with only 80 total tackles from 2016-17.

• After ranking among the top teams in the country to feature freshmen in 2017, Baylor has continued to introduce new players into its lineups in 2018.

• The Bears need a victory over Texas Tech to reach six wins and bowl eligibility for the 24th time in program history. It would mark the eighth time in nine season that the Bears reached a bowl game.
