WACO, Texas – No. 2 Baylor men's tennis welcomes No. 21 Arizona State to Waco for a 3 p.m. match on Sunday at the Hurd Tennis Center.

The Bears (15-2) are off to their best 17-match start to a season since 2007, when the team began the year 18-2. BU will face its eighth ranked opponent of the year, currently holding a 5-2 mark against top-25 teams.

Sunday's home contest begins a stretch of nine-straight to be played in the state of Texas. Baylor will not leave the Lone Star State until April 1 with the start of Big 12 conference play at Oklahoma State.

ASU comes to Waco with a 11-1 record, coming off a 4-3 win at No. 28 Oklahoma on Friday. Baylor owns the all-time series 4-1 against the Sun Devils, including three consecutive wins in each of the last three seasons.

The Bears are a combined 72-11 in singles play this spring, led by Charlie Broom's 10 dual wins and Spencer Furman's perfect 9-0 record. BU has counted on No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 singles throughout the season, boasting 14-1, 15-1 and 13-1 records at the positions, respectively. No player in Baylor's lineup has lost more than three times.

On the doubles courts, BU holds a collective 35-13 record, highlighted by Broom and Matias Soto's partnership at 8-3 this season. No. 10-ranked Constantin Frantzen/Sven Lah have been a mainstay at the No. 1 spot with a .500 tally of 4-4. The Bears have won the doubles point in 13 of their 17 matches in 2021 and are 12-1 in matches when doing so.

Lah's next doubles win will be the 79th of his career, moving him into a tie for 10th place on Baylor's career leaderboard. Frantzen has moved into sole possession of fifth place on the all-time list with 98, just six shy of Benjamin Becker's school record of 104.
