WACO, Texas – The Baylor women's tennis team is back in action on Friday at 5 p.m. for a matchup against Arkansas at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.
The Bears are 7-3 on the season with a 5-2 showing at home, while the Razorbacks enter the match with a 4-1 record.
A trio of Bears –
Alina Shcherbinina,
Isabella Harvison and
Danielle Tuhten – have six singles win on the year, while
Anita Sahdiieva and Paula Baranano each have five victories in dual action.
Baranano and
Daniella Dimitrov have been locked in at No. 1 doubles with a 3-2 mark this spring. Sahdiieva and Shcherbinina are 3-2 on the year, with a 2-2 record at the No. 2 position, while Harvison and Tuhten are an impressive 3-1 at No. 3.
In the ITA rankings that were released on Feb. 8, Harvison checked in at No. 108 in singles. Arkansas enters Friday's match with two individuals in the top 100 and the duo of Grace O'Donnell and Lenka Stara rank No. 58 in doubles.
Admission to the match is free. There will be free pizza for fans, while supplies last, and students can enter a drawing to win a pair of AirPods. Live stats and a live video stream will be available as well for fans to follow the action.
