MASCOT APPEARANCE INFORMATION

1. Bruiser and Marigold appearances are fulfilled based on availability. No student can miss school or a game to participate in an appearance or community event.

2. Baylor University and Baylor Athletics reserves the right to refuse any appearance. All requests for specific appearances and/or image usage will be left to the discretion of the University and the Athletics Department.  The University will decide if any appearance or usage conflicts with its best interests.

3. Due to the time demands on the students, we cannot guarantee that each requested appearance will be fulfilled, and priority will be given to athletic related duties.

4. General appearances for Bruiser & Marigold cannot last more than one hour.  

5. Appearance/Image Usage fees are charged as follows: 
Mascots (Bruiser & Marigold): Prices listed are for a one-hour event.
  • $250 per mascot: Corporate/Business events (this includes weddings)
  • $125 per mascot: PlayFly partners
  • $100 per mascot: Baylor sponsored events
  • $75 per mascot:   K-12 schools
6. Payment options
  • No Cash payments will be accepted.
  • Non campus appearances must be paid by check before or at the appearance. Check will be made out to Baylor Spirit Squads.
  • Baylor campus appearances:  Must provide COA on the request form for invoicing and payment.
 
7. Requests must be submitted 3 weeks prior to the date of the appearance. A late fee of $50 may be applied if the request is made less than 3 weeks from event date. 

8. All requests must be submitted to the Baylor Spirit Squads office using the online Mascot Request Form. We ask that you DO NOT contact the students directly. As a reminder, completion of this form does not guarantee the fulfillment of the request.
 
9. Appearances are available on a limited basis during the following time periods: 
  • Finals (Months of Dec. and May - 1 week prior to finals and the week of finals)
  • Spring Break
  • Summer (May – August). 
10. All appearance requests for mascots must include a private and secure place for them to change in and out of suit and store their belongings.  This should be a private area and cannot be a bathroom. 

11. All requests will receive a response within one week from the day it was submitted. This does not mean an answer will be available within that time frame, but we will confirm receipt of the request. Scheduling is challenging, and it may take longer than a week to confirm or deny a request. It is helpful to provide as much planning time as possible.

12. Costumes will NOT be loaned or rented to outside entities.

Each request will be carefully reviewed, and a confirmation will be emailed to you. All information must be included to process your request.
