Evan Cooper

Evan Cooper is in his third season on the Baylor football staff, and is second as an on-field assistant coach working with the cornerbacks. He also serves as Baylor’s recruiting coordinator.

In his first season as an on-field assistant, Cooper assisted on defense with the line and secondary. Over his first three seasons at Baylor, Cooper played an instrumental role in securing three consecutive top-35 recruiting classes.

Prior to his promotion, Cooper held the title of director of player personnel during the 2017 season. Cooper served as Temple's director of player personnel during the 2015 and 2016 seasons under head coach Matt Rhule.

He spent six months in 2015 at the University of Miami with Al Golden. Prior to that he was a member of Rhule's initial staff as a defensive graduate assistant in 2013 and the director of external operations in 2014.

He spent two seasons as the defensive backs coach at Westminster Academy in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., while working as a student advisor.

A four-year letterman for the Owls, Cooper received his degree in sport and recreation management from Temple in 2009.

He is married to the former Andisha Hoilett. The couple has a son, Evan III.
