AUNDRE BRANCH, Kingwood, Texas (Basketball, 1992-95) – 2016

When he finished his career at Baylor, Branch held school records for 3-pointers made in a career (267), season (104, 1994-95) and game (eight, twice) – marks that still rank in the top five. He scored 20 or more points 40 times and still ranks seventh on the Bears’ all-time scoring list with 1,666 points.

Playing for his third head coach in four years, Branch averaged a career-high 21.7 points per game and knocked down 104 3-pointers as a senior in 1994-95. His 3-point shooting marks held up until they were broken by LaceDarius Dunn in 2009-10.

A two-time All-Southwest Conference pick, Branch played five years of pro basketball overseas, with stops in Venezuela, China, Turkey, France, Spain and the Dominican Republic, and then eight years with the Harlem Globetrotters where he was known simply as “Hot Shot.”
