WALTER D. “BUNK” BRADLEY, Waco, Texas (Basketball, 1933-35; Tennis, 1933-35) – 1999

A three-year letterman and team captain for both the basketball and tennis programs as a senior in 1934-35, Bradley was a Waco, Texas, native who graduated from Baylor in 1935 and later received his C.L.U.  degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Active in the Baylor “B” Association, Bunk served as the letterwinners organization’s president in 1972 and ’73, worked as a volunteer in the executive director position for 34 years and was executive director emeritus until his death in 2005.

In his role with the “B” Association, Bradley played a key role in the construction of the “B” Room at Floyd Casey Stadium, which served as the gathering place for all Baylor letterwinners on football game days.

He was a board member and officer of the Baylor Alumnae Association, a board member of the Hankamer School of Business and also served on the board of the Woodland Springs Nursing Center, Regis-St. Elizabeth Nursing Center, Lakewood Christian Church and Texas Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.
