Women's Tennis On the Road at Vanderbilt Fall Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Six of Baylor's eight women's tennis players are set to play in the Vanderbilt Fall Invitational in Nashville, Oct. 27-29.
Junior Katja Kovac, ranked No. 51, will play Mirela Vladulescu of UAB at 9 a.m. Friday in the Flight One singles first round. Junior Frida Borjesson is in Flight Three singles and will face S. Duffy of Northwestern at 10:30 a.m. Friday. In Flight Four, junior Paola Stephen plays Carien Venter of Middle Tennessee State at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Sophomore Monica Gonzalez will face Michaela Gridling of Middle Tennessee State in Flight Five singles Friday at 9 a.m., and freshman Alison Bradley will play Tanja Pflagfelder of UAB in Flight Six singles Friday at 11:30 a.m.
In doubles, Kovac will team with senior Karin Andersson to battle Gridling and Varnell of Middle Tennessee State in Flight One doubles at 1 p.m. Friday. Borjesson and Stephen are in Flight Two against Abraham and Etienne of Georgia State at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Gonzalez and Bradley square off against Kentucky's Bradwell and Stafford in Flight Three doubles Friday at 2 p.m.
