LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Ricky Williams ran for two touchdowns and Kliff Kingsbury threw two TD passes to Derek Dorris as Texas Tech beat Baylor 28-0 on Saturday night.
Baylor (2-3, 0-2 Big 12) used three quarterbacks trying to fill the void left by an injury to Greg Cicero.
The Red Raiders (5-1, 1-1) shut down three Baylor threats in the fourth quarter.
Tech drove 96 yards in 10 plays for a touchdown after Antwan Alexander intercepted Michael Odom's pass at the 4.
Kingsbury threw 34 yards to Darrell Jones, and Shaud Williams ran 33 yards to set up Ricky Williams' 4-yard run for the score.
The Bears drove deep into Tech territory twice after that. One of the drives ended with a series of incomplete passes, and the other ended on Brian Giddens' interception.
Guy Tomcheck started at quarterback for Baylor, but Kerry Dixon replaced him in the second quarter before giving way to Odom in the third quarter.
Kingsbury completed 33 of 50 passes for 322 yards, including the touchdown passes of 14 and 6 yards to Dorris. He also gained 42 yards on four carries. Shaud Williams was the Raiders' leading rusher with 67 yards in 10 carries.
Ricky Williams' 14-yard TD run in the first quarter was his longest rush of the season. This was his first performance without a knee brace since undergoing knee surgery on his left knee and sitting out last season. As a sophomore two years ago, he was fourth nationally in rushing, averaging 143 yards.
Tech led 14-0 at the half.
