WACO, Texas - Baylor's men's golf team is ranked 56th nationally according to the Golfweek/Sagarin Collegiate Rankings released Nov. 15.
Golfweek/Sagarin also ranked Baylor senior Jimmy Walker the No. 63 individual nationally. The Bears ranked sixth in the District 6 rankings.
The Nov. 11 edition of the Golfstat Cup Rankings placed Walker slightly lower in 76th place nationally, while senior Worth Williams was ranked second in the country in "Putts on Green." As a team, Golfstat ranked Baylor 10th in the nation in "Putts on Green."
The Bears look to improve on the next edition of both rankings after an impressive third place finish at the Henry Griffitts Baylor Innovational in Waco, Texas last week. Individually, Jimmy Walker, medallist of at Henry Griffitts, should jump up in the rankings after he improved his stroke average to 71.9 on the season.
Baylor's men's golfers have completed their fall schedule and will open up in the spring at the Rice/Lamar Invitational in Houston, Texas, on Feb. 12-13.
