Linebacker Garrett Named To True Freshman All-America Team

Waco - Baylor linebacker John Garrett has been named to the Rivals.com True Freshman All-America Team, the website announced November 20.
Garrett, a 6-2, 215-pound freshman from Mart, Texas, played in nine games and started five at weakside linebacker for the Bears. He finished the season ranked fifth on the team with 54 tackles, 35 of them solo. Garrett also racked up six tackles for a loss of 13 yards, one sack and a fumble recovery.
