Kyle Evans Named Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week

WACO, Texas - Baylor right-hander Kyle Evans has been named the Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week, Collegiate Baseball newspaper announced Monday.
Last Saturday, Evans, a junior from Albuquerque, N.M., threw the first complete game no-hitter for Baylor since 1982 in a 4-0 win over Iowa State. He walked two and one runner reached on an error, but two double plays and a caught stealing allowed Evans to pitch to the minimum 27 batters. He also struck out five Cyclones in his second complete game of the season.
The Baylor baseball team travels to Houston Tuesday for a rematch with the Cougars at 7 p.m.
