Parekh Defeated in Quarterfinals of ITA Natl. Indoor

DALLAS - Baylor women's tennis player, Jahnavi Parekh, advances to the third round in the Rolex National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships.

Jahnavi Parekh, No. 17 in ITA rankings, defeated Chin Bee Khoo, Arkansas, 7-5, 6-3. Khoo defeated the No. 3 Katarina Valkyova from San Diego, 6-3, 6-2 in the first round.

Parekh was defeated by the Division II wild card, Petra Gaspar, from BYU-Hawaii in the quarterfinals, 6-3, 7-6 (7).

The Women's Tennis team will play next this Saturday against ACU at 9:30 a.m. and UTSA at 2 p.m.
