WACO, Texas - With the emphasis on becoming sharper and making corrections, the Baylor football team continued two-a-day drills with a pair of practices Thursday.

"This morning I was concerned because there were moments where we were not sharp," said Baylor head coach Kevin Steele. "Offensively, we had footwork problems that we needed to clear up and defensively we needed to improve the pass rush."

During the afternoon practice session, the team focused on making improvements on both sides of the ball. Steele was impressed with the results.

"We challenged them to step it up for the afternoon workout and they corrected the problems. If you keep doing that, you're growing," Steele said.

The Bears will take to the practice field again Friday for workouts at 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
