The Baylor football team continued to show progress in practice Tuesday, in spite of the fact that as many as seven players are battling the same stomach virus that quarterback Greg Cicero fought last weekend.
"We're practicing well, but right now we are fighting a flu bug that is going around," said Baylor head coach Kevin Steele. "I hope it runs it's cycle with the team so that we can move forward. It is a concern because they are just getting their legs back from two-a-days and now we've got six or seven guys with this stomach virus."
"Today we challenged them to have a special attitude about the next nine days," said Steele. "We asked them not to lose focus and to continue thinking about the challenges that lie ahead."
Baylor opens the season with a 7 p.m. game at North Texas on August 31.
