Just eight days before the season opener, the Baylor football team practiced for a solid hour before conducting a 30-minute mini scrimmage on Wednesday.
"We practiced well today before the scrimmage," said Baylor head coach Kevin Steele. "We ran good seven-on-seven drills and we're learning to throw and catch the ball better. The offensive line is starting to jell and come around."
"For the most part, I think these guys are anxious to play," said Steele. "These next seven days will be tough. We need to keep focusing on getting better each day. Starting tomorrow, it's all about working for the game against North Texas."
Baylor opens the season with a 7 p.m. game at North Texas on August 31.
