Waco, Texas - With Baylor's season-opening football game at North Texas coming on a Thursday, Head Coach Kevin Steele has had to adjust his normal game-week practice routine. Thus, Saturday morning's spirited 90-minute workout was conducted as a `normal' Monday practice would be.

"We've had to shift everything back a couple days," Steele said. "Saturday is like Monday, Sunday is like Tuesday, on up until Thursday, which, of course, is like Saturday. Fortunately, it's our opener, so there's really no distraction.

"Our team has done a good job of becoming more focused with each practice. Our intensity has been good and our work ethic has been outstanding. It's vital that we continue that same effort and intensity every day from now until Thursday."

Baylor will practice again Sunday afternoon in preparation for the Mean Green. Game time Thursday in Denton is 7 p.m.
