Bears Win Tournament With 3-1 Win

College Park, Md. - No. 24 Baylor captured the 1999 Maryland/FILA Women's Soccer Tournament defeating Pittsburgh, 3-1 on Sunday at Ludwig Field.
Baylor (5-1) topped Pittsburgh (2-2) thanks to a pair of second half goals from Nikki Hales (Grapevine, Texas). The Bears opened the scoring as Courtney Saunders (Hurst, Texas) sent in a cross pass from Hales at the 13:47 mark.
Pittsburgh tied the game at 37:09 as Kirstin Gellatly (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) scored her second goal of the tournament off a pass from Cande Ruiz (Oxnard, Calif.) at 37:09. Baylor's Dawn Greathouse (Allen, Texas) made five saves to win her fifth game of the season.
