Baylor Men's Golfers Open Season in South Carolina

WACO, Texas - Baylor's men's golf team opens its fall season Monday at the Kiawah Island Invitational in Charleston, S.C.
The Kiawah Island Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston, is held at the Osprey Point Golf Club. Osprey Point is a 6,871-yard, 72-par course in Charleston.
The 15-team field includes: Alabama, Arkansas, Augusta State, Baylor, Central Florida, Charleston, Florida State, Kent State, LSU, Maryland, Mississippi State, South Alabama, Tulsa, USC Aiken and The Citadel.
The Bears traveling squad includes seniors Brandon Sanders, Jimmy Walker and Worth Williams, sophomore Trevar Matheson, and freshman Adam Meyer.
Baylor, unranked in the preseason edition of the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings, has earned three consecutive berths in the NCAA Tournament and finished last season ranked 24th nationally.
