WACO, Texas - Baylor's men's cross country team earned a regional ranking of eighth in this week's South Central Coaches' Poll, released Tuesday. The Bears are coming off a first-place showing at last weekend's Baylor Invitational.
Meanwhile, the women's team maintained 10 votes in the poll and is second among those receiving votes. The top 10 teams in the region are ranked weekly.
Arkansas held on to the top spot in both the men's and women's polls. However, the Lady'Backs failed to receive every first-place vote for the first time in five years. It was status quo on the men's side as the Razorbacks earned all nine-first place nods.
Baylor will return to action Saturday as both teams travel to Stillwater, Okla., for the Cowboy Jamboree hosted by Oklahoma State.
