WACO, Texas - Former Baylor standout Kip Wells was recalled from the minor leagues by the Chicago White Sox and will start against the Texas Rangers Wednesday night, the club announced Tuesday.
The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT at Chicago's Comiskey Park and will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest to the Rangers' normal broadcast area, including Dallas and Waco.
Wells, an all-American for Baylor in 1998, was a first-round pick by the White Sox that year. He holds the Baylor record for wins in a season and ranks among the top three in virtually every Baylor pitching statistic.
