Box Score

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Baylor soccer team's four-game winning streak came to an abrupt end Friday night as the Bears lost to Missouri, 5-2.

Forward Adriene Davis scored two goals and added an assist for Missouri (10-6, 5-4 Big 12). Baylor (8-7, 4-5 Big 12) lost to an unranked team for the first time in nearly a month, the Bears' last defeat to a team not ranked in the top 25 came Sept. 30 (2-1 at Iowa State).

Goals by Davis and Stephanie Brennan put the Tigers up 2-0 going into the half. Missouri built that lead further in the second half with goals by Karen Bauer, Davis and Lacy Moore.

Trailing 5-0, the Bears scored two goals in the final 10 minutes to make the score respectable. Freshman Ginny Rosario-Tull notched her seventh goal of the year at the 82:33 mark, moving into a tie for the team lead in that category. Sophomore Emily Fukuchi's fourth goal of the season came six minutes later and made the final margin 5-2. Freshman Kristin Ruef assisted on both goals for her first two collegiate assists.

Rosario-Tull now leads the team with 17 points, the highest total for a Baylor freshman since Molly Cameron, Courtney Saunders, Nikki Hales and Britt Talley each recorded 17 or more points in 1996, the program's first season. Cameron was the last Baylor freshman to lead the team in that category as she set a school record for points with 75 that season.

Sophomore goalkeeper Emily Koch allowed all five Tiger goals. Missouri keeper Megan Duncan shutout Baylor for the first 75:12 before being replaced by Stephanie Krawczyk in the net.

Baylor closes out the Big 12 Conference season Sunday at 1 p.m. at Kansas. The Bears also have one non-conference game remaining, Baylor plays at Colorado College Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. before the Big 12 Tournament begins Nov. 8 in San Antonio, Texas.
