WACO, Texas - Baylor's softball team climbed another two spots in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25, landing at No. 19 it was announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association late Tuesday night. The Lady Bears are currently 25-8 on the season.
Due to inclement weather in the Waco area, Baylor will have to wait another week to test the highest ranking in the program's history. The Lady Bears' scheduled Wednesday game at home against Sam Houston State was postponed due to rain. The game will be rescheduled, however, no date has been set.
UCLA (34-0) remains atop the poll, garnering 19 of 27 first-place votes. Arizona (28-0) received the other eight first-place votes and ranks second. California (28-0) and Alabama (22-0) are the only other remaining undefeated teams in Division I, they are ranked third and fourth, respectively.

The Lady Bears will return to action March 20, traveling to Arlington, Texas, for a 5 p.m. doubleheader against Texas-Arlington. The doubleheader is a makeup from a Feb. 21 rainout.
