Softball Posts 6-0 victory over Missouri

Waco, Texas - Baylor pitcher Joni Miller tossed a four-hit shutout and Lady Bear batters pounded out 12 hits to give Baylor their first-ever sweep of Missouri. Baylor defeated the Tigers 6-0 on Sunday after posting a 3-1 victory on Saturday.
The victory raised Baylor's record to 38-20 on the season and tied the program's record for most wins in a season. They moved to 7-9 in Big 12 play while Missouri dropped to 27-26 overall and 4-11 in conference action. Miller posted her 11th shutout and 25th complete game of the year and is now 27-14 overall.
Baylor tagged Missouri starter Stephanie Falk for seven hits and five runs, two of which were earned, and reliever Ingrid Werner surrendered five hits and a run in two innings of work. Baylor's three seniors, Naomi Fizgerald, Meredith Miller and Jennifer Polk, honored before today's game, each hit safely in the game. On the day, catcher Ryan Stukel was a perfect 4-for-4 and second baseman Stacey Hundley was 3-for-3 with two runs batted in.
The Lady Bears put two runs on the board in the third inning when Hundley singled through the right side, Stukel singled to right field and Koral King tripled down the right field line. Baylor added three more runs in the fourth inning and added an insurance run in the fifth.
Baylor will be idle until the Big 12 Conference Tournament, May 9-12. The event will be held at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
