Men's Golfer Walker Named To All-America Team

WACO, Texas - Baylor senior golfer Jimmy Walker has been named to the PING All-America Third Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced June 2.
The senior from New Braunfels, Texas, is a four-time all-Big 12 performer who helped lead the Bears this season to their first conference title since 1966.
This past season Walker had nine top-ten finishes, seven top-five finishes and two individual tournament titles. He finished the season ranked second in the Big 12 with a 71.88 stroke average in 36 rounds. Besides leading the Bears to their fourth straight NCAA Regional, Walker also participated in the 2001 Verizon Byron Nelson Classic after winning the qualifying tournament.
In his four years at Baylor, Walker has amassed 28 top-ten finishes, 20 top-five finishes and has collected three tournament titles. The senior will leave Baylor with a 72.94 stroke average in 143 rounds of play.
