Baylor and Minnesota have cancelled their football game, which was slated for last Saturday in Minneapolis, due to scheduling conflicts. Baylor will pursue the possibility of replacing the Gophers on their schedule with another school. With the Bears not having any open date until after the season, the earliest any replacement game could be played is Nov. 24th.
"We're disappointed that the Minnesota game couldn't be made up," Head Coach Kevin Steele said. "They are obviously a quality opponent from a quality league. But, we'll move on and worry about our next nine games and hope that something can be worked out regarding an 11th game.
"These players work for nearly 200 days in a year in order to play these games, so you'd like to play as many as you can if at all possible."
