Services Held for 'B' Member Jerry Bolin

WACO, Texas - Funeral services for Jerry Bolin, 57, were held Dec. 19 in McKinney, Texas. The "B" Association member who played end on Baylor football teams from 1962 to 1965, lost his courageous battle with cancer and died in a Plano hospital on Dec. 16. He was the co-owner of the Bolin Oil Company in McKinney.

Bolin was a 1966 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Baylor and went on to gain another degree from the Baylor Law School. In 1969 and 1970 he was a briefing attorney on the Texas Supreme Court and later practiced law and worked as a CPA in his hometown of McKinney.

He was a member of both the Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano and the First Baptist Church in McKinney.

Among survivors are his wife Kittye, sons Dr. Blake Bolin and wife Jennifer of Frisco, Clay Bolin and wife Kelli of McKinney, Andrew Bolin of Houston, Rhett Stokes and wife Kimberly of Arlington, daughter RoRe Waldrop and husband Kenneth of Plano, and his mother Edna Leach Bolin of McKinney.
