WACO, Texas - As Baylor Baseball's Fall Practice comes to a close, the Bears have divided into two teams for the final three games: Gold (veterans) vs. Green (newcomers). The Gold team pounded the Green in the first match-up, winning 10-0. Josh Ford went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, and Steven White pitched six innings of one-hit ball, striking out nine and allowing no runs.
For the newcomers, Russell Reichenbach struck out seven in 5 2/3 innings and allowed nine runs (five earned). Jason Pritchard threw 1 2/3 shutout innings in relief.
The two teams will continue the series Monday at 3:30 p.m. and wrap up fall ball Tuesday starting at 3:30 p.m. Jared Theodorakos (Gold) will face Andy Pape (Green) Monday afternoon, and Trey Taylor (Gold) will start Tuesday against either Ryan LaMotta or Zach Golden (Green).
