McKINNEY, Texas - Senior Jamie McLeary (67-72=139) shot a combined 139 and is currently tied amongst all individuals at the Stonebridge Invitational. The Bears as a team hold a three stroke lead over Lamar heading into the final round of 18 Tuesday.
Sophomore Ryan Baca (71-70=141) shot two under par in his second round and is in third place. Joining McLeary and Baca in the top 10 is teammate Adam Meyer (73-71=144). The junior from Waco is even par after 36 holes.
Baylor (569) as a team shot seven under par. Lamar (572) trails Lamar by six strokes in third place. Texas Tech (580) is in fourth, 11 strokes behind the Bears. Arkansas-Little Rock (584) and Notre Dame (584) are tied for fifth.
Junior Will Doughtie (72-75=147) is three-over par and is tied for 30th. Sophomore Derek Abel (77-73=150) is six-over par and is tied for 44th.
Trevar Matheson (72-75=147) is competing as an individual and joins Doughtie tied for 30th.
Tomorrow the Bears will try to clinch their 17th tournament title under seventh-year head coach Tim Hobby.
The final 18 holes of the Stonebridge Invitational will begin Tuesday at 8 a.m.
