Fall Baseball Update: Games 1-3

WACO, Texas - The Baylor baseball team began its annual Fall Practice Wednesday with the start of a 15-game intrasquad schedule. Fall Practice games will continue over the next three weeks, concluding Oct. 18-20 with the final three-game set.
All games are open to the public, and admission is free. Below are top performers are notes from the first three-game mini-series.
This week's intrasquad schedule:
Monday 3 p.m. Tuesday 3 p.m. Wednesday Off Thursday 3 p.m. Friday 3 p.m. Saturday 6 p.m.

Coach Steve Smith says: "Trey Webb, Mark Saccomanno, Kyle Reynolds, Jake Rippee, Paul Witt and Michael Griffin have all played extremely well in the infield. Griffin is also doing well in left field. Reid Brees, David Murphy, and Chris Durbin have all made some tremendous plays in the outfield."
Overall assessment after 3 games:
Coach Steve Smith says: "Very competitive group. Intrasquads have all been spirited and intense. Good aggressive baserunning. Begin seeing the pitchers for the second time Sunday. Should be interesting."
Note: Ross Bennett is out for remainder of fall with shoulder injury.
