PACIFIC PALASADES, Calif - Baylor's Vida Mulec fell to Karem Harboe of Mississippi in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 in the first round of qualifying singles Tuesday at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palasades, Calif.

In the only doubles match of the day for the Bears, the team of Mulec/Stephanie Balzert were defeated by Alexis Gordon/Julia Scaringe of Florida 8-3 in the first round of qualifying doubles.

With the two losses on Tuesday no Bears remain in the tournament. The remaining qualifying rounds will be played out tomorrow, and the main draw will begin on Thursday at the Riviera Tennis Club.
