Four Men's Tennis Players Advance to Main Draw

Three Bears' netters stay alive in the Icy Hot/ITA Championships. Matias Marin, Ivor Lovrak, and Benedikt Dorsch all won their Qualifying round matches Wednesday to advance to the Main Draw to join fellow teammates Benjamin Becker and Zoltan Papp.

Marin will play Troy Hahn of Florida after defeating Mississippi's Catalin Gard by a score of 6-4, 6-4. Dorsch also advances after winning his match against Marcus Bernston of Boise State 6-1, 6-1 and will face Nic Boeker of Georgia. Finally, Lovrak knocked off Manuel Kost of Oregon 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-2 to pit him against Florida's Oliver Levant. All singles players advance to the Main Draw Round and will start play on Thursday

In doubles play, the duo of Becker and Dorsch were eliminated from the tournament after losing in the second round to Texas' Ryan Hammond and Alastair Jenkin 8-5.
