Women Finish Up At The Fall Desert Classic

Palm Springs, Calif. - After a strong first day on Friday, Stephanie Balzert was defeated in the quarterfinals round by the eventual tournament champion Dianne Hollands of Arizona 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 at the Women's Fall Desert Classic in Palm Springs, California on Saturday.

In other singles action, Daria Potapova was defeated in the consolation bracket by Filivea of Loyola 6-3, 6-3.

After the Fall Desert Classic, the Bears have now concluded their fall 2002 season.
