WACO, Texas - Baylor defender Tamura Crawley was named to the 2002 All-Big 12 Conference Soccer Second Team based on a vote of the league's coaches, the conference announced Monday.
Crawley was honored for the fourth consecutive year as an all-Big 12 player. The senior from Dallas, Texas, was named first-team all-conference in 1999 and earned second-team honors in 2000, 2001 and 2002. With four straight all-Big 12 selections, Crawley becomes the second player in Baylor history to be named all-conference four times, joining Courtney Saunders (1996-1999) on that short list. The senior defender was also named Preseason All-Big 12 each of the past three years.
Crawley played in all 19 games for the Bears this season (16 starts), scoring two goals and adding one assist for a career-high five points. In her four seasons at Baylor, Crawley appeared in every game for a total of 78 games, the ninth-highest total in school history. She became just the fourth Bear in school history to appear in every game possible during her four-year career.
