GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - For the second straight year, Baylor did not play on Sunday at the UTA College Classic and still walked away with a share of the title. Due to cold temperatures and fierce winds at Mike Lewis Park Sunday morning, the four remaining teams in the winner's bracket agreed to suspend play.

Baylor, No. 7 Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and host Texas-Arlington therefore finished the three-day tournament as quad-champions. Last season, the Lady Bears, Louisiana-Monroe, Oklahoma and Texas A&M were named quad-champions after play was suspended due to cold weather and steady rains.

The Lady Bears, off to the best 11-game start in school history at 10-1, were scheduled to play Oklahoma, while Oklahoma State and UTA were to face off in the other semifinal.

Baylor returns to play next weekend at the Houston Invitational, hosted by the University of Houston at the Cougar Softball Complex. The Lady Bears faces Ohio State at 9 a.m. Friday, followed by a 1 p.m. game against Stephen F. Austin State.
