WACO, Texas - The Baylor baseball and softball games scheduled for Tuesday have each been postponed due to the threat of extremely cold weather in north and central Texas this week.
Baylor softball announced the postponement of Tuesday's doubleheader against Sam Houston State. The game will be rescheduled for a yet-to-be-determined date. The Lady Bears leave Thursday for an 11-day, 13-game road trip. Baylor plays this weekend at the Frost Invitational in Chattanooga, Tenn., and then leaves from there for a week in California. While in the Sunshine State, Baylor will face No. 2 Stanford and compete in the Hallowell Classic, hosted by No. 13 Fresno State.
The Baylor baseball game against UT-Arlington has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 13 at 3 p.m. in Arlington. With the postponement of Tuesday's game, the Bears' next action comes this weekend as they begin Big 12 Conference play Friday, the Bears host No. 9 Texas at 7 p.m at Baylor Ballpark, Saturday and Sunday, the series continues in Austin at 3 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
