Baylor Baseball Opener Postponed

WACO, Texas - The Baylor baseball season opener scheduled for Tuesday against Southwest Texas has been rescheduled due to impending torrential rain in the Waco area that is expected to continue through Tuesday.

The game will instead be played April 9 at 6 p.m. at Baylor Ballpark. The Bears will open the 2002 season Thursday at 7 p.m. against Rice in the Astros College Classic, to be played in Houston at Enron Field. The 2002 home opener will come Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. against UT-San Antonio.
