Softball Rained Out At Frost Classic

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Steady rains and cool temperatures forced cancellation of play here Saturday at the Frost Classic hosted by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Baylor's softball team was scheduled to play Middle Tennessee, the game will not be replayed.
Action is scheduled to resume Sunday, weather permitting. The Lady Bears (23-4) face Illinois at 9 a.m. CST and Virginia Tech at 1:30 p.m.
Baylor is expected to start junior right-hander Joni Miller (10-2) against Illinois and freshman southpaw Cristin Vitek (8-2) against Virginia Tech. Vitek has tossed 34 consecutive scoreless innings, including eight over two games in Friday's first day of action at the Frost Classic.
